Whisk your special someone off for a romantic break at this beautiful, bespoke glamping hut just outside Holt. Sleeping two people in one sleeping area, it’s a perfect accommodation choice for couples who are dreaming of an off-grid lakeside retreat to call home while they explore the serene beauty of the North Norfolk coast together. Wake up and set off to Holt Country Park (1 mile) to stroll hand in hand along the scenic trails through the pine forests. Take a picnic and keep your eyes peeled for deer. Alternatively, ride the heritage trains of the North Norfolk Railway (2.5 miles), which is also known as the ‘Poppy Line’. Travel in restored steam and diesel trains while you take in the views of the breathtaking landscapes between Holt and Sheringham. Or head to Felbrigg Hall (10 miles) to browse its beautifully-preserved 17th-century country house and stroll through the woodlands.

Park in your private parking spot and head inside your beautiful, hand-built shepherds’ hut. The open-plan interior is overflowing in rustic charm, with warm timber-clad ceilings, boho-chic decor and a characterful, vintage-inspired wood burner. Take a seat and make yourself at home before you get busy cooking up a romantic meal in the farmhouse-style kitchenette. Share an intimate dinner for two and then crack open a bottle of something fizzy to enjoy by the flickering glow of the wood burner. At the end of the day, retreat to the double bed. A handy en-suite shower room cosy completes the cosy layout.

Step outside and you’ll find deck chairs inviting you to sit back and relax in the tranquil space. Fire up the charcoal BBQ and share a laid-back al fresco dinner. Afterwards, sway gently in the hammock, or toast marshmallows at the fire pit while the stars to come out.
