Perfect for two couples meeting up to raise a glass or two together or for small families looking for a really special break, this gorgeous getaway boasts two bedrooms, a twin room on the ground floor and a super King bedroom on the first floor, which has an en-suite shower room. There is also a further high-end family bathroom on the ground floor. The living space is open-plan and offers a well-equipped contemporary kitchen and a living area with a Smart TV. When you picture Stable Cottage, think clean lines and relaxing interiors because this is a property you’re going to want to hang out and unwind in, whether that’s in front of the TV catching up on a box set or two, reading great books and bringing the outside in the conservatory or in the courtyard garden, which is something of a sun trap and is perfect for that evening barbeque after a day exploring. And there are so many sites to see from here too. In fact, some of the best coastal habitats that Norfolk has to offer are really close by.
In just twenty minutes you can be in Wells-next-the-Sea, watching the pretty little boats bob on the tide, while quayside or enjoying the wide, sandy beach while taking in the colourfully decorated beach huts. Head to the creeks and harbours of the Burnhams, the marshes of Stiffkey, or a little further east, explore the pier at Cromer, where you can grab a coffee and undertake a spot of people-watching. History buffs will rejoice with the Holkham, Blickling, Houghton, and Sandringham Estates, along with the Hanseatic Quarter of Old Kings Lynn, Norwich Castle Castle Acre, and Castle Rising all within easy reach. Nature lovers will be delighted to find riverside walks almost from the doorstep, along with Pensthorpe Nature Reserve which is just a few minutes away. Sports lovers should know that this area has some amazing golf courses too, including cliff-top ones with absolutely stunning views and nearby Fakenham has a racecourse so if you fancy a day at the races and a bit of a flutter, you’ll be well catered for too. And you are sure to have worked up something of an appetite with all that sightseeing and, if you want a break from cooking in that lovely kitchen, you will discover that the area is teaming with great places to eat and drink, with something to suit every budget and taste. Then, head back to Stable Cottage and dream of adventures yet to come. Just perfect!

Beautiful property, excellent, quality fittings & furnishings. Bonus feature of a conservatory. A very generous welcome pack, of locally produced items, the quality of which far exceeded those of our previous experiences. The location is well placed for various places of interest within a 20 to 40 minute radius.

We have just spent a week in this delightful cottage. Finished and equipped to an extremely high standard, it is surrounded by glorious countryside, and we were sorry to leave. The owner was friendly and helpful yet discreet, and she provided us with a generous welcome package. The pretty garden was very secluded and a real sun trap, with comfortable furniture and a barbecue at our disposal. When it (occasionally) rained, we were able to enjoy it from the comfort of the conservatory. The local chippy offered a tasty meal and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to check out the local church, where friendly locals told us all about its history. The community shop in the village was another great find. All in all, a fabulous holiday destination, well situated for exploring the local area, and one we’d really like to repeat!
