The Old Laundry was cosy and comfy. Visiting in November we expected to be a tad chilly but the weather was mild and the cottage is well insulated so we extremely warm, too warm sometimes so we opened some windows - which is not a complaint. We received a welcome pack on arrival which was lovely. The accommodation is on a chicken farm but the chickens are not noisy, although there are comings and goings from 6.30am so if you are a light sleeper and want a lay in you will be disturbed. It didn’t bother us as we are early risers. There are plenty of countryside walks, lots of wildlife and it’s very peaceful. Thursford Christmas spectacular is just up the road so if you visit from November book tickets - no dogs allowed though which is why we didn’t visit but it looks amazing from outside.
