Located just 13 minutes’ drive from the market town of Diss, which is plentiful with shops, cafés, and restaurants. The area is great for exploring the delights of Norfolk and Suffolk with its Heritage Coast, including Aldeburgh, Dunwich, Walberswick and Southwold are all within easy driving distance. Hire a boat on the famous Norfolk Broads or, for thrill seekers, head to the areas only theme park, Pleasurewood Hills, or enjoy Great Yarmouth’s golden mile and funfair. Historic market town of Bury St Edmunds, famous for its cathedral, Georgian theatre, abbey and gardens, museums and markets, and the historic city of Norwich which also has a cathedral and market plus a wide range of shops, restaurants, and galleries to delight you.
Nearby you will find nature reserves, Bressingham Gardens and Steam Park, Banham Zoo, National Trusts Ickworth House and Thetford Forest, where you will find extensive walks and cycle trails. If you want a day out at the seaside, both the Norfolk and Suffolk coastlines are within an hour’s drive. Add in lots of nature, walks and cycle routes and you will soon see just why this area is such a popular destination for visitors. Beach 27 miles. Farm shop, pub serving good food 0.7 miles.

Lovely cottage, set in beautiful surroundings, so peaceful and wildlife to see out of the windows. All on one level which was ideal for us as my husband struggles with his mobility. If you want a quiet break this the place to be. The pub doesn’t serve food, which was a shame but can recommend Goodies which a short drive .

We were a party of 4 and all of us thought that Highgrove was a fantastic property. It is in a tiny village so facilities were very limited but we knew this and went into Diss which is only 5 minutes away for our big shop. The property was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hot tub wasn't ready on the Friday but if there were people leaving Friday morning we know it is not possible to empty, clean, refill and get back up to temperature the same day. However we did make up for it and spent a lot of time in the tub with a beer or wine. We were watching the birdlife of which there is plenty, but the highlight of the weekend was watching deer come out of the copse across the field and lie down in the open, fantastic to see. We spent a few hours in Norwich as none of us had been there before and we all enjoyed it, finding it quite a pleasant place with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Sunday lunch was in the Saracens Head in Diss and it was excellent, as was the beer.

We loved our week at Highgrove. Beautiful, quiet and clean bungalow. Hot tub was perfect. Plenty of wildlife. Great location for Norwich and Norfolk.Cream team on arrival which was a lovely touch. Great communication from Cheryl. Good local pub - The Crown. Easy walk over the field (no food though) Absolutely recommend!
