Cleanliness has received mixed feedback. While some guests found the cottage to be very clean and comfortable, others noted issues with dust, cobwebs, and a need for a deeper clean. The cleanliness appears to be generally satisfactory, but there is room for improvement.
The location of Grace Cottage is highly praised for its beautiful views and proximity to local amenities and scenic walks. The village's friendly atmosphere and accessibility to nearby attractions contribute to a positive experience.
Guests find the cottage cosy, warm, and well-decorated, with comfortable beds and a homely feel. Some minor issues with window handles and heating controls were mentioned, but overall, the comfort level is high.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-appointed kitchen and a welcome pack mentioned by some guests. However, there are comments about maintenance issues such as a leaking toilet and the need for better lighting outside. The presence of a log fire adds to the charm, although some guests experienced issues with the initial stock of wood.
The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident in the provision of a welcome pack and the overall comfort of the cottage. Guests appreciate the amenities provided, though it is politely noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Little down side was small fridge as we stayed over Christmas. We could not switch heating on initially but helpful landlady got back to us soon enough. Kitchen has all you need for cooking, thereâs plenty books and Netflix and lovely decorations in cottage makes you feel at home. Cleaning standard could be improved but few cobwebs didnât put us off to really enjoy it. To be expected when place not occupied a lot.Golden lion pub serves lovely food and thereâs a nice little art shop in the village.

Loved the log/coal fire and the views from the back garden. The cottage had everything we needed and all the furniture and bedding etc was of high quality. Two dog friendly pubs in the village and the Chatterbox cafe, lots of walks from the doorstep and surrounding areas. The info in the cottage needs updating, as we had to ask the neighbours about the bins and recycling and it would have been nice to know that the next door neighbour could access our garden to put out their bin, I was a tad shocked when a man walked past the window! Also the cottage has gone up for sale, which again, would have been nice to know, as we went out and a FOR SALE sign had appeared on our return! Other than that everything was perfect.

However the level of cleanliness was not what I would except. The property would benefit from a deep clean especially the mould around the sink taps and bath. The kitchen floor was very dirty. In addition the toilet brush was very rusty, most of the bulbs in the living room light were not working only half the toaster worked and the door tray on the fridge was broken.
