There are two outdoor sitting areas, one detached to the front, and one to the side of the house. Located on what is called The Spanish Battery in the upmarket seaside town of Tynemouth, where the promenade stretches a few miles to Cullercoats and Whitley Bay. Nearby North Shields has been home to the Tall Ships Races, and the working harbour and fish restaurants here are perfect for exploring some real Geordie hospitality. Tynemouth has something for everyone, with award-winning beaches famed for surfing competitions, the Blue Reef Aquarium, a Victorian boating lake, the beautiful priory, stunning promenades and an abundance of lovely bars, cafés and restaurants suitable for all age groups and tastes. Little cafés serving fish and chips and ice-creams are hidden along parts of the beach.
A stroll along to Whitley Bay is a must, where you can stop off for a nice drink or a meal inside the Spanish City, or a glass of champagne in the bar on the top floor with lovely views across the North Sea towards St Mary’s Lighthouse. Tynemouth is also home to a super weekend market, set in the Metro Station, known as the Covent Garden of the North, and it truly is worth a visit, within easy walking distance from your doorstep. You could of course hop on a metro over to Newcastle and explore this cultural city and quayside, or visit the theatre. It is easy to travel through Northumberland from here in all directions. Head north to explore the Heritage Coast steeped with historic castles and more golden beaches, or take yourself West, to perhaps explore Hadrian’s Wall, also worth a visit whilst in the area. There are free bikes available to use of all sizes with helmets provided and there is a private children’s park in the garden that the owner has built. As seen on "four in a bed". Beach 950 yards. Shop 950 yards, pub and restaurant 350 yards.
Suitable for up to 3 pets

The house itself could be very nice and Tynemouth itself is attractive . The condition of the cottage is however quite poor and the level of cleanliness was well below standard with the cooker being particularly bad . There was also black mould in several rooms .Most concerning was the state of the electrics . Only half of the sockets in the kitchen worked - with one producing sparks and the lighting in the downstairs shower room failed completely .Two of the shower doors fell off whilst we were there .A cot , high chair and stair gate were said to be available but none were their when we arrived . A high chair was produced but although the owner tried to find a cot nothing was satisfactory and the baby ended up sleeping in mum and dads bed .It should be noted in effect there is no private parking - public car parking quite close .This could be a very nice property but I would strongly recommend that the letting agent inspects before it is let out again .

Very nice property, some areas could do with a little attention and renewal. Owner is very helpful and professional. Beautiful views and quiet at nights. Well located for coastal walks and local history. Bedrooms are a good size with fantastic views. Originally booked for whole family but only 3 of us went, there was still plenty of room to accommodate the other guests. I loved this property,

We had a wonderful time in Tynemouth. Property well located, close to beaches and town centre with plenty of room for my group. Kitchen is haphazard could do with some organisation and furniture refurb. Non of the above spoilt our holiday.
