Resting in the beautiful hamlet of Lucker in Northumberland, Rosefinch is a well-presented stone cottage which is the ideal destination for a family holiday or couples travelling together. The open-plan living space is warm and inviting with ample seating arranged around a feature exposed brick inglenook fireplace complete with a woodburning stove, the perfect spot for curling up together and getting into the holiday vibe. There are patio doors opening onto the delightful gardens so you can either sit and soak up the leafy views or on a sunny day, throw open the doors and bring the outside in. The outside space is a delight to spend time in with lawns, and a gravelled area complete with patio furniture which is perfect for children and any pets to run around in. A cosy corner houses an elegant dining table and chairs where you can imagine spending many long and leisurely meals together prepared in the gorgeous fully fitted kitchen which is a delight for any chef to work in. The accommodation is spread over one floor making access to the two bedrooms ultra-convenient. Choose from a double with en-suite facilities and a twin; both are beautifully presented and offer a relaxing space to wind down after a tiring day at the beach. Within walking distance of the property is the popular hamlet of Lucker which offers a whole host of delightful rural walks and hikes which will be rewarded with some great views along the way. Bamburgh is a short drive which is well worth a visit boasting a castle and some fantastic beaches as well as a good selection of shops and eateries. Other towns worth visiting while you’re out and about include Alnwick, Lindisfarne, Alnwick and Berwick and attractions to put on your bucket list include Hadrian’s Wall, Dunstanburgh Castle, Northumberland Country Zoo, a boat trip to Farne Islands and Cragside House. For a break that offers both coastal and country views, make sure to book a stay at Rosefinch.
The pretty Northumberland village of Lucker lies in the heart of Heritage countryside, midway between the A1 and Bamburgh. The historic coastal village of Bamburgh, with its sweeping beaches and dramatic castle, is only a short drive away with an array of excellent pubs, restaurants and gift shops. Lucker itself offers a good pub serving excellent food and a restaurant serving traditional french crépes and freshly cooked pizzas. Lucker is ideally placed for discovering the Cheviots, the stunning Northumberland Coastline and the Scottish Borders.
