Rose Cottage is highly praised for its cosy atmosphere, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches from the owners. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedding, and secure garden for dogs. The location is ideal for exploring Northumberland, with easy access to local attractions. Some guests mention road noise and minor maintenance issues, but overall experiences are overwhelmingly positive, with many planning to return.
Guests consistently note the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as spotless and well-maintained. One review mentions cobwebs, but this appears to be an isolated comment in the context of otherwise glowing feedback.
The location is frequently praised for its convenience to local attractions and walks, despite some guests noting the presence of road noise. The proximity to a busy road is mentioned, but the triple glazing seems to mitigate this for most visitors.
Comfort is a highlight, with guests loving the cosy sitting area, log burner, and particularly the super king-sized bed. A few guests found the lounge furniture and noise from the road to be drawbacks, but these are minor compared to the overall comfort enjoyed.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful amenities. Some guests suggest improvements in garden maintenance and appliance instructions. The mention of a missing coffee table and issues with a sofa spring indicate room for improvement.
The owners' thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with welcome packs and local recommendations adding to the experience. While gifts are appreciated, it is important to note that such personal touches, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.
