Guests say

Number 29 in Alnwick is a spacious, modern, and exceptionally well-equipped cottage, praised for its prime yet peaceful location close to the town centre and attractions. Guests consistently highlight its comfort, thoughtful touches, and private parking. The property is dog-friendly and features many amenities, making it a welcoming base for exploring Northumberland. While a few minor maintenance and housekeeping issues were noted, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Most guests found the property spotlessly clean and well-presented inside, though a few mentioned occasional lapses such as missed cleaning between stays, cobwebs, or outdoor areas needing attention. These were exceptions rather than the norm.

The location is universally praised for being quiet yet central, with easy access to Alnwick’s main attractions, shops, and restaurants. Private parking is a significant bonus.

Guests frequently describe the cottage as comfortable, spacious, and homely, with quality furnishings and a cosy atmosphere. Some noted the bed frame design caused minor inconvenience, but this did not detract significantly from overall comfort.

The cottage is very well equipped, with a modern kitchen, ample amenities, and thoughtful extras such as maps and guides. A few minor maintenance issues (e.g., heating, bathroom odours) were reported but quickly addressed or did not impact the overall experience.

Many guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as dog treats, poo bags, and welcome gifts, though these are not guaranteed. The inclusion of local guides and practical amenities further enhanced the stay.

The path at the side of the cottage is very slippy when wet because of the bird droppings and leaves. The cottage itself is very well equipped and in a great location.

An absolutely wonderful stay. Comfortable and homely property. Handy churchyard walk nice and close for quicks hound wees. A note to be aware of is that the bushes around the parking are yew and therefore toxic if ingested by dogs or people. I have brought this to the owner's attention.
