A welcome pack which included tea bags rather than an empty dusty jar and possibly some milk would have been good There were no instructions as to how to use the oven, central heating or locate the dustbins Some basic cleaning spray for the hob and glass table would also have been welcomed.The accommodation was ideal for the bus station we were walking the coastal route and used the local buses to ferry us to the coast each day

A smart, compact apartment right in the centre of the town. Great location for shops, pubs, restaurants of which there are plenty. We travelled by train and bus this year which was a first. The public transport is good although buses don't run very frequently so planning your journey is essential. We enjoyed our stay in Alnwick, it is a beautiful part of the country.
