About this property

Resting beside the picturesque coast of Beadnell, Northumberland, Beach Walk is the ideal family getaway for those who love to feel the sand beneath their toes and embrace the countryside scenery. Be welcomed into this contemporary semi-detached house, where the property is split between cream wood panelling and brickwork, giving it an eye-catching appearance. Enter into a stylish open-plan living area where cream walls and large glass doors give an airy feeling, filling the space with natural light. Wooden flooring stretches throughout, with a woodburning stove set into a green feature wall, surrounded by tasteful furniture. The kitchen continues the contemporary theme, with all of the home-from-home amenities needed to create a heart-warming meal, which can be enjoyed on the dining table, or in the fresh air of the quaint garden sitting area, accessible via bifold doors. The property has four bedrooms, each with a handy en-suite, including three king-size beds and one twin, all with storage and homely décor. Beadnell is a wonderful coastal town with a beautiful sandy beach, which can be reached easily from the property, via the lane close by, so why not enjoy a stroll in the salty air? Beadnell has a selection of pubs, cafes and convenience stores, so you can stock up on essentials before exploring the local countryside walks or enjoy a hot meal and a glass of your favourite beverage. Try out watersports with KA Adventure Sports or enjoy sightseeing at Ebb’s Nook or Beadnell Lime Kilns. For more history, head a little further from the property to find the historic town of Bamburgh where the magnificent castle awaits exploration, as well as the well-known Holy Island. Fall in love with the coast and countryside of Northumberland with a stay at Beach Walk.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.

It was very clean and comfortable. I called a number to report a leak in one of the bedrooms it was coming from the top shower room and we think it was when the big shower head was used. We put a tin on the bed to catch drips. Also the door stopper in hall was broken. Apart from that we loved our stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

Sadly not all of the cookware was clean and the bathroom radiators needed dusting. The previous occupiers or cleaners had not ensured that the non-recycling bin had been put out, so it was overflowing. The door handle between the hallway and the spacious open-plan kitchen/living area needed attention as it was loose. None of the above detracted from our restful holiday in a perfect location, so close to the beach, coastal walks and Breathtaking views.

It was well presented and clean. One of the showers was a bit too small for adult use and another shower was a bit underpowered. Overall though it did everything we wanted and we would be happy to return.
