Lovely stay, quiet, garden enclosed, apple tree with lots of fallen apples, you can hear the cows in the morning.Entrance and exit on a very busy road A1, it could do with a clearer view when leaving onto the A1. No walking routes from the house. It is however a great location for points of interest.The outside of the house is like being on the farm, bins near the entrance made flies come inside, bins are emptied alternately, so there was rubbish already in bins, unless guests put the bins out they will fill up, we put everyday rubbish out on the Wednesday and it was emptied, we did notice that the grass had been cut while we was out, which is a concern when we are not aware.We had a problem with the cold water in the kitchen, we came back and there was no running water, we phoned the number provided and they noted it but only reviewed it through a text message on Monday.The water had come back but only trickled out, we guess the cold water comes from a separate area being an old farmhouse.Kitchen had everything you needed, one of the seated benches was cracked. living area was comfy although one seat the zip was broken and a few scratch holes, staining on big chair.Down stairs bathroom had no hand towel or handwash.Upstairs bedrooms are comfy, although on the last day I found two mouse traps in rooms, one was on the bedside table, the other at the side of the bedside table. my family are adults but I had concerns if there had been young children.Bathroom was adequate, could do with a paint to compliment the rest of the house, and a blind for privacy as when on the toilet you can see the farm barns with the light on there would be no privacy, The bath and shower from the window you could see the neighbouring house, with the light on and being naked it’s quite vulnerable and uncomfortable.Not sure why there’s no bathroom blind! As everywhere else has one, the bathroom isn’t even frosted glass like the one downstairs, the down stairs had a blind.When you leave you have to take off the bedding and leave on the landing, I did notice that the mattress protectors had a couple of stains so I stripped them too as the sheets were pristine condition.The towels also go into the laundry bin and left on the landing, two large towels for main room and smaller ones for other two bedrooms. I recommend bring your own towels.No complimentary stuff, we brought our own handwash, handwash dispensers had nothing in them. Bring your own kitchen essentials for when you arrive.Complimentary dishwasher and washing tablets provided.
