You will feel right at home the moment you turn the key. Inside, be greeted by a warm and inviting open-plan area, where you can unwind and relax. Also nearby in the village of Allanton is a good restaurant which is great for fishing and shooting parties as well as the Cross Inn at Paxton. Berwick-upon-Tweed is just 7 miles away, at the northern tip of Northumberland’s beautiful Heritage Coast, boasting many restaurants, cafes, pubs and a nearby links golf course. The Scottish capital of Edinburgh or the city of Newcastle are easily accessed by train from Berwick. A superb base for exploring all North Northumberland has to offer.

Lovely and warn and clean with the added bonus of a log burner with plenty of wood for it. The garden was fantastic for the dogs as it is fully enclosed and safe. Lots to do in the surrounding area as well as good walks from the cottage door especially for exercising the dogs. Would love to come back in the summer months and will be definitely recommending to friends and family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Twizel Station Cottage was exceptionally clean and comfortable and had everything you needed to cook a variety of meals. The fixtures and fittings are good quality. Excellent shower, good mattresses and linens. Great heating system with the bonus of a log burner ensured we were kept cosy. Enclosed garden perfect for the dogs. The location was great for walking the dogs and exploring local area. We hope to return in the summer .
