Boat trips to the Farne Islands from Seahouses. Historic Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh Castles are close by. Alnwick town, the location for the Harry Potter films, and the magnificent ornamental gardens, 8 miles. Superb walking in the Cheviot Hills, ½ hour drive. A 10 minute walk to the shop and two pubs. Less than two minutes to the beach and The Landing beach bar & cafe/restaurant..

An excellent stay at sandpiper. Location was perfect, only 3 mins walk from the beach. Decor is nice and house is a pleasant, peaceful place. Local amenities are good, cafes, small shop in the village, lovely ice cream place and beach good store. If you need supermarkets though you need to go slightly further - nothing crazy though, 5 mins or so drive to Seahouses. Would definitely return. Weather was awesome, fingers crossed it would be for the next time too!

lovely quiet street (even in school hols when we went), secure garden with plenty of space to run around and chase the rabbits, proximity to the beach is fantastic. only way to improve it would be comfier garden furniture & a washing prop to make the line usable
