Overall, the property provides a pleasant base for a Northumberland getaway, especially for those seeking a peaceful retreat close to nature.
Opinions on cleanliness are mixed. Several guests found the property clean and tidy, but a significant number reported issues such as dust, cobwebs, dirty utensils, and neglected outdoor areas. Some mentioned that a deeper clean and more attention to detail would improve the experience.

Most guests found the home comfortable, highlighting cosy interiors, comfy beds, and a relaxing sunroom. However, a few mentioned uncomfortable mattresses, bedding, and some furniture issues, suggesting comfort may vary depending on personal preference.
Facilities such as the sunroom, decking, and kitchen were appreciated, but several guests noted maintenance issues including broken furniture, poor water pressure, and an iced-up freezer. Some suggested the property would benefit from additional equipment and more regular upkeep.

We have used Waters Edge from it being a privately owed house so for a number of years now. It needs a good deep clean and a close look at the interior furnishings. Yes the curtains upstairs in the main bedroom don’t close and there’s one window blind but these are an easy fix for the company who own it now. The rug in the entrance needs cleaning etc etc ( I’ve read reviews about this!) The tiny freezer inside the fridge needs sorting ( again management) Is it comfortable? Yes. Is it a boutique accommodation stay? No. It’s ideal for a family too who don’t want to stay in a show home. It’s pet friendly which is fab. Do we return? Yes and we have done over and over again we’ve been staying at Waters edge way before it was taken over by a company. For us it’s ideal. We are out all day. We return in the evening it suits our needs. It’s not for everyone but it works for us

Odd assortment of glasses, most were either dirty or chipped. Glass dining table could do with a good clean. Lack of sockets throughout the house and most had multi adapters.Mattress was very lumpy and uncomfortable.Bedroom had a blind on one window and none on the other. Curtains in bedroom didn’t meet.We did not consider this value for money and we certainly won’t be back.

On arrival it seemed fine, but after unpacking noticed the bathroom floor filthy, grout from the laminate floor that had come apart was left there skirting boards thick with dust and hairs. The main bedroom looked as if someone had thrown a cup of coffee or other drink on the wall above the headboard. The lights in the kitchen was so dusty as was the one in the sun room and stairway. Didn't use the microwave as stank and not cleaned. The outside cushions to use were in the sun room so we could take them out to use were full of hairs so left them there. Dead flies and wasps that should of been noticed by the cleaners as no way they had just been there a few hours as covered in dust. The two runners had large stains plus the dining chair was falling apart. The small freezer compartment was thick with ice so couldn't use it and don't think the windows had been cleaned for a lomg time. Also we have never been charged £25 for a dog to stay. The carpets were new and the linen/bedding was very clean and good quality. Just feel its such a shame as a lovely outside space regarding the decking overlooking the pond. I think the cleaners just come in to change the linen and nothing else. We go away 3 times a year to similar type properties, Beadnell also and have never had to give a review like this. Wouldn't mind a response from the owner.
