Settled into a row of picturesque stone cottages, Courtyard Cottage boasts spectacular sea views and is ideal for a family looking to explore the coast of Embleton and the surrounding area of Northumberland. Be welcomed by the beautiful exterior of this stone cottage and make yourself at home in a wonderful sitting room, with the warmth of a woodburning stove in the cooler months, put your feet up with a cup of coffee in one of the stylish sofas. The kitchen is airy and has a lovely countryside feel, decorated with colourful tiles and with a back door opening up onto an amazing coastal view, it is ideal for cooking together.
The dining room is full of natural light and is an ideal location for a family meal, with easy access to a private courtyard with furniture, ideal for alfresco dining. Along with a shower room, there are two bedrooms sleeping a maximum of three adults, including a homely double and a bunk room. The property itself is just a short walk from the award-winning Embleton beach, a fantastic location for picnics, watersports and walks in the salty air. Embleton also has a convenience store, where you can stock up on essentials, a selection of eateries and is within easy reach of loads of fantastic attractions, including Howick Hall Gardens & Arboretum, Embleton Quarry Nature Reserve and the scenic Northumberland Coastal Path.
Embleton is close to the fantastic Dunstanburgh Castle where you can learn more about the local history and explore the castle and grounds. Enjoy the history and scenery of Northumberland with a stay at the beautiful Courtyard Cottage.
The pretty village of Embleton is ideally placed for exploring one of the most attractive stretches of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline. A beautiful grassy path runs from the village to neighbouring Craster, alongside the sea and past Dunstanburgh Castle - the largest ruined castle in Northumberland. Embleton itself has a village pub and a local hotel, and there is an excellent range of amenities in nearby Alnwick. The gardens at nearby Howick Hall are open during the summer and are noted for their beauty, whilst Alnwick Castle and Garden are a 'must-see' when visiting the area. For the keen golfer, Dunstanburgh Links Course is about 1 mile away - just one of several excellent courses in the vicinity.

The bed was very uncomfortable with completely flat, thin pillows. The sofa was also very uncomfortable. The cottage is very expensive so expected it to be comfortable. The cottage is listed as pet-friendly but when you arrive it says dogs are not allowed beyond the kitchen and the front lawn area is not enclosed. We visit this area twice each year and were very disappointed with the cottage and would not book this cottage again.
