Hartam House is a well-regarded cottage in Northumberland, praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and beautiful location. Guests have enjoyed the ample space, welcoming atmosphere, and the property's proximity to scenic walks and local amenities. The garden and the provision of a telescope are appreciated touches, although some guests suggest minor improvements.
The property consistently receives high praise for its cleanliness, with numerous guests describing it as spotless and well-maintained. The attention to detail in this aspect is frequently mentioned, contributing to a very high score.
The location is highly valued for its tranquillity and proximity to Kielder Forest and local amenities. The scenic views and easy access to walks directly from the property contribute to a high score, despite a few comments about the approach road and midges.
Comfort is well-received with mentions of comfy beds and sofas, though there are some suggestions for additional soft furnishings and a few remarks about uncomfortable leather furniture. Overall, the comfort level is considered high.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and generous provisions like logs for the fire. However, some guests noted a lack of games, DVDs, and detailed instructions for appliances, leading to a slightly lower score.
While some guests mention receiving welcome gifts such as wine and flowers, there is not enough consistent information across the reviews to accurately score thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Cleaning supplies are plentiful as are logs for the fire. Hartam House is spotless, the beds are comfortable & the kitchen is fully equipped.

The central heating seemed to turn itself off if you went out, so cottage was cold when we came back in, there were no instructions for the central heating. There were also no instructions for the recycling/rubbish and as every area has different rules, we had to guess.
Pauline
Lovely comfortable house with comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen large garden and excellent supply of wood for fire
