Pack a picnic and your wine stuff for Druridge Bay Beach (8 miles), where there are miles of golden sand and rugged dunes give you plenty of room for a seaside stroll. At Amble (11 miles) you can board a boat towards Coquet Island, an RSPB seabird sanctuary a mile offshore. Explore centuries of history at Alnwick Castle (14 miles), admiring its imposing towers and grand State Rooms as you discover the stories of the various people who have called it home. Or, head to Amble (11 miles) for a wander around the harbour before boarding a boat trip to spot puffins and seals around Coquet Island.
Inside, the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a fabulous spot for spending quality time together, either preparing breakfast, chatting over dinner or putting your feet up after a day out. Outside, there is an enclosed decked terrace for tucking into al fresco meals and a sunken hot tub for a relaxing soak after exploring.
