This summary has been generated using feedback from guests who have stayed at this property

Curlew Cottage in Northumberland receives high praise for its peaceful and scenic location, comfortable accommodations, and welcoming atmosphere. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like homemade cakes and the proximity to local attractions. While most reviews are positive, a few mention minor issues with cleanliness and maintenance.

Cleanliness

Most guests found the cottage to be clean and well-kept, with only a few mentioning issues such as cobwebs and a smell of dogs in one instance. The positive remarks suggest a generally high standard of cleanliness.

Location

The location is consistently praised for its tranquility, beautiful views, and proximity to local sights such as Hadrian's Wall. The rural setting is ideal for a peaceful retreat.

Comfort

Guests report that the beds are very comfortable and the cottage provides a warm and cosy environment. There are some comments about a soft mattress and a desire for firmer options, but overall, comfort levels are rated highly.

Facilities

The cottage is described as well-equipped and comfortable. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as water hammer, broken patio doors, and a lack of certain amenities like a freezer. These issues suggest room for improvement in this category.

Thoughtfulness

Many guests mention the thoughtful gestures of the owner, including homemade cakes and flowers. While these gifts are warmly received, it is important to note that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed with every stay.
