After a long journey, a sitting room with the welcoming glow of a woodburning stove encourages you to grab a coffee and put your feet up, sporting eye-catching red and yellow paint, leather sofas and a wonderful piano where you can put your musical skills to the test.

When mealtimes call, a spacious kitchen creates an ideal spot for family cooking, with ample amenities, spacious work surfaces and high ceilings giving an airy feel, and from here you can access a fantastic dining room, found in the conservatory, with access to a charming patio with mature shrubs and a minimalist feel surrounding a dining area, ideal for alfresco dining. Freshen up in the shower room before cosying down for the night in one of the two bedrooms, a double with vintage furniture and a twin ideal for children, and there is the additional option of a second double bedroom, found in the attic room, on request.

Lowick is a small village where you will find a convenience store so you can stock up on essentials, as well as a local pub for you to enjoy a meal out at. Within easy reach of the property is the fantastic Holy Island, a spectacular island bursting with history and heritage, including Lindisfarne Castle, Castle Point Lime Kilns, Lindisfarne Priory, and a selection of fantastic museums where you can learn more about the local history. Holy Island also boasts a pretty beach, amazing coastal views and countryside walks, and there is also the option of visiting Goswick Beach and the historic town of Bamburgh with its magnificent castle and beautiful sandy beach.

The small attractive village of Lowick is ideally placed for a holiday in Northumberland. Kimmerston Riding Centre is just a few miles to the west of the village. The pretty village of Ford with its castle and craft shops is 2 miles away, part of the Ford and Etal Estate which has facilities for cycling and fishing, as well as a mini railway – ideal for all the family. There are also excellent golfing opportunities, with 8 golf courses within 20 miles of Lowick. Northumberland’s beautiful coastline, Holy Island, the Cheviots for hill walking and mountain biking and the fascinating border town of Berwick, are all only short drives away. A superb base for exploring all the region has to offer.
