We had a wonderful week staying at Lyndhurst. The cottage was spotlessly clean, exceptionally well equipped, and finished to a very high standard. The furniture and décor was modern-country and comfortable, making it feel like a real home from home.The owners were incredibly thoughtful and attentive. They made our little boy's birthday extra special by surprising him with balloons and a cake on our arrival, which was such a lovely touch.One of the main reasons we chose Lyndhurst was to take my mum away. Sadly, it was her first holiday without my dad, so we wanted her to feel comfortable. Having a downstairs bedroom and bathroom was perfect for her, while the rest of us where happy to be upstairs. The layout worked brilliantly for our family. The cottage was small enough for us to feel together, but big enough for us not to be on top of each other.Although the cottage is on a busy road, the modern construction and windows meant we were not disturbed by traffic noise. The wide driveway also made parking and reversing our cars in and out easy and safe.The local pub, The Shoulder of Mutton, is just a short walk away and has a lovely atmosphere, serving good pub grub. The village shop is small but well stocked, with freshly prepared local produce on sale.Lyndhurst is in a great location for exploring Northumberland. We were only around 15 minutes drive from the beautiful sandy beach at Creswell (which has public toilets and an ice cream shop) and not far from Alnwick, where we enjoyed an brilliant day exploring the castle and gardens.We wouldn't hesitate to book Lyndhurst again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, high-quality base from which to explore the many wonderful sights of Northumberland.

Lovely stay, really felt home from home with everything and more anyone could need for a relaxed break away. Myself my husband and our three yr old daughter along with our two dogs stayed at the cottage and Roddy and Emma really catered for all of us, really went above and beyond to make it the perfect stay. Hot tub was perfect to ending a lovely day out! 12mins into Morpeth Ctr which is lovely and have a lovely park, Carlisle Park, with boats and climbing frames even an outdoor splash zone for kiddies. Easy drives to everything you’d want to see. We loved it and so did the pooches. Already booked to come back before we had even left 🫶Thank you Roddy and Emma. X 5***** from the williams clan x

Unreal. Roddy was the best host so accommodating. We asked out of curiosity if they had playing cards in the house and within 30 mins he dropped some through the door! Such a lovely house with a huge hot tub. The bed in the main bedroom was so unbelievably comfortable!! Will defo be back **
