The house was beautiful but we felt it was a bit of style over substance. The toilet downstairs was very useful especially when we had my uncle and aunt to visit. The kitchen was well equipped but little things like the potato masher bends so is unusable and none of the knives are sharp enough to be of any use. The water pressure is very low so the shower wasn't very good. The seating is low and not very comfortable. We all felt that the garden would have been better with a bigger patio. Against all that the village is lovely and the little shop over the car park is really useful. The stairs were a bit of a challenge for me with bad knees and my partially sighted son. Overall though we had a lovely holiday and Northumberland is a gorgeous county.
