This lovely apartment offers far-reaching countryside views from its elevated second-floor position, and with a national park practically on your doorstep, as well as easy access to the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it's the perfect base for couples or a family to explore this wonderful part of the world.
From the attractive vestibule, walk up to the second-floor apartment's private entrance. Kick off your shoes and feel immediately at home in this bright and airy apartment. Offering open-plan living, it's a fantastic social space to spend time with loved ones. Three large windows bring in lots of natural light and provide beautiful views towards the Cheviot Hills. Sit back and relax on the comfortable sofas while the chef of the day prepares a delicious meal in the well-appointed kitchen, then plan your next day’s activities as you dine together at the table. Head outside to the shared seating areas for a spot of stargazing or a nightcap on a warm summer’s evening.
Soak tired legs in the family bathroom before getting a good night’s sleep in one of the two inviting bedrooms with comfortable beds covered in sumptuous soft furnishings.
Situated on the edge of Northumberland National Park, Wooler is known as the Gateway to the Cheviot Hills, with walking and cycling trails in abundance. The national park also has official Dark Skies status thanks to a lack of nighttime light pollution. There’s much to do from the doorstep, with Wooler's independent shops, galleries, bars, and restaurants all within easy reach, as well as a picturesque golf course, horse-riding lessons, and riverside strolls all available nearby. Walk up Humbleton Hill for panoramic countryside views, take in fabulous scenery en route to St. Cuthbert's Cave, and visit the former King of Northumbria’s palace ruins at Ad Gefrin, all within 9 miles. For a journey back in time, hop onboard a restored steam train from Heatherslaw (10 miles) or for a marvellous day out at the seaside, head to Bamburgh (16 miles), with its famed castle creating a spectacular backdrop to the wide sandy beach.
