Listers Lodge is a lovely semi-detached cottage, which is ideal for anyone wanting to explore the hidden gems of both the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Heritage Coast. It has a garden on two levels which is ideal for relaxing. Situated on Brotton high street, the cottage is ideal for relaxing in Brotton village, or for a superb gateway to the delights that Yorkshire has to offer. Brotton dates back to medieval times when it was known as Brocturn, or town at the brow of a hill. The village lies just 2 miles from the seaside resort of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, famous for its Grade II listed pier, one of the world’s oldest funicular cliff railways and genuine smuggler’s bay. The Cleveland Way snakes its way through the area, making it an ideal place for hikers and bikers. There is also a golf course with a floodlit driving range within a 10-minute walk. Saltburn is also filled with plenty to do for all the family, including crazy golf, a play factory and a fabulous family friendly beach.

The dramatic Heritage coastline is home to some amazing coves such as Robin Hood’s Bay, Runswick Bay, and is just 17 miles away from the jewel of Whitby. This enchanting fishing town is home to 3 miles of unspoilt beaches, boat trips and cobbled backstreets filled with shops, cafés and restaurants.

Hidden amongst miles of public footpaths and country roads of the North Yorkshire Moors you can find delights such as the North York Moors Steam Railway, which travels through the heart of the National Park.

York is just over an hour’s drive away, where you’ll find the National Railway Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre, or just enjoy a lovely day out exploring the walls and cobbled streets. There is also a variety of theme parks in the area, such as Lightwater Valley, Beamish Museum and Flamingo Land to keep the young, and the young at heart entertained. Beach 1¼ miles. Shop 30 yards, pub and restaurant 300 yards.
