About this property

Staithes 2 miles. Nestled in the quaint village of Easington just outside the seaside village of Staithes in North Yorkshire, is this beautiful stone-fronted property, situated in the North Yorkshire Moors an area of outstanding beauty and is an international dark sky reserve. Retaining a lot of character with its beamed ceilings and crackling open-fire, this Yorkshire cottage is idyllic for a family of four seeking a rural break. Leave your vehicle in an off-road parking space before making your way inside to discover the sitting room, where you can curl up with a hot chocolate and escape into a good book. There is also a reclining for extra comfortStepping through the property, find the compact kitchen area, certain to entice budding chefs with its electric oven and hob and when dinner is dished, join together in the dining room to tuck-in. When the sun is shining, carry the conversation out onto the patio, which also offers a barbecue to rustle up a burger; why not savour a glass of wine as your furry friend stretches their legs? As the evening grows cool, retire inside and climb upstairs for a hot bubble bath before choosing between a double and a twin bedroom, both with furniture to house your belongings. For a blend of country and coast, enjoy a stay at The Cottage. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 1090742 and 1090743, together sleeping up to 18 guests.

With its cobblestone streets and back lanes, the picturesque and peaceful seaside village of Staithes is somewhat of an artist's dream. Its charming buildings and cottages are grouped around the historic harbour, which is flanked on three sides by high jagged cliffs, with a secluded sandy beach nestled among the rocky shoreline. Captain Cook, who was apprenticed to a draper near the waterfront, has ties to the community. Staithes is now a must-see for anybody visiting the Yorkshire Coast, with a diverse range of pubs, shops, and tea places. Staithes still has an rnli lifeboat station, as well as a small fleet of cobles (fishing boats) that land fish, crab, and lobster, as well as boat trips for birdwatching, fishing, and even whale watching.

Plenty of cooking utensils in the kitchen. Comfy settees in the lounge and open fire if needed. Beds very comfortable and beautiful views from all front windows. If anything a new bathroom suite would have Improved the bathroom. The gardens are beautiful and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had the added enjoyment of sunshine most days. Will definitely be going back next year. Will definitely be going back next year.

Small touches from the owner made it very homely - the fire made up so all we had to do was light it, spare logs to buy outside the front door, and a throw in the front room to take the chill off. Decor was just my style, vintage with a modern twist and loved the colour scheme. For a cottage it was a nice size.Ideally situated for touring and the views of the countryside and sea were fantastic on a clear day. Didn't use the gardens but they were beautifully kept. Would definitely book again when staying in the area.

Ian pop round to introduce himself and asked if we needed anything whilst settling in. The accommodation is fantastic, very cosy and comfortable. Managed to forget about the car, used the bus in both directions. We had a great time and look forward to returning. Cottage spacious with everything you would possibly need including iron, ironing board and hàirdryer. Fixtures and fittings excellent especially the recliner settee ànd the double bed, so comfy. Kitchen utensils ect of good quality. Landscaping immaculate, garden furniture Al quality. We also enjoyed the Tiger Inn minutes from the cottage. Very friendly pub and food was excellent. The road outside the cottage has no street lights or pathways so a torch is a must. Thank you Ian until our next visit. Sharon and Steve from Bolton.
