About this property

Norley 2.3 miles. Tucked away in Delamere, close to Norley in Cheshire, sits this inviting holiday home, 2 Golf Links Cottage. Boasting a light and airy feel with a bright décor, 2 Golf Links Cottage is a first-class escape for four guests and their canine companion, providing easy access to Delamere Forest. Sure to inspire those budding chefs, the contemporary kitchen boasts granite worktops and a dazzling range of integrated appliances, so you won’t have trouble preparing home-made dishes. The dual aspect dining room provides a lovely spot to enjoy the company of each other, whilst the sitting room hosts ample seating for all to gather round and enjoy a movie. While away the hours upon the garden patio, sitting at the furniture. Ascend upstairs and discover the family bathroom, complete with roll-top bath and walk-in shower. The bedrooms include the master with super-king-size zip/link beds and a wonderful king-size, each neutrally presented. Just a short walk away lies a small train station which offers good links to Chester and Manchester. When you’re ready to make the most of this Cheshire location, nearby lies the wonderful Delamere Forest, where you can test your nerve on the Go Ape course, join a Forest Survival Scout Course or simply join the off-the-beaten-track forest trails, perfect for cycling and walking. If you fancy a change of pace, the city of Chester is further afield and offers a wealth of shopping opportunities, restaurants, bars and pubs, plus attractions such as the iconic Cathedral, City Walls and Eastgate Clock. Breakaway to rural Cheshire and uncover delights at 2 Golf Links Cottages.

The historic, former salt mining town of Northwich lies in the heart of the Cheshire plain, on the junction of the River Dane and River Weaver, 18 miles from Chester. The town is host to a thrice weekly street market and monthly artisan and farmers' market, whilst history of its previous salt mining industry, which can be traced back to Roman times, can be viewed at the popular Salt Museum. The Bull Ring is a conservation area in the heart of the town centre providing many examples of preserved Victorian black and white buildings and is located at the foot of the pedestrianised shopping area where you will find numerous quality cafe's, wine bars and restaurants springing up, creating a lively cafe culture to compliment the numerous high street outlets, boutique stores and specialist shops on offer. In the local vicinity are several country parks, including Marbury Park with an outdoor swimming pool open throughout the summer, Verdin Park with children's play area and Anderton Nature Park which is home to the famous Anderton Boat Lift connecting the Trent and Mersey canal to the Weaver through a working 50ft lift dating back to 1875. Within driving distance are a host of attractions, such as the historic city of Chester, Delamere Forest, Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village, National Trust properties, including Tatton Park, Dunham Massey, Quarry Bank and Speke Hall, Trafford Centre, golf courses on the Wirral, North Wales beaches, and the major cities of Liverpool and Manchester, which have a host of attractions and places to visit. Northwich has so much to offer you can understand why it was named by the Sunday Times in 2014 as one of the best places to live in the UK!

Location, facilities, everything!! Had issues with heating on arrival but this was very quickly remedied and I would like to thank everyone concerned. I really appreciated the amount of effort that had been made to make it a real welcoming ‘home from home’ We had a fabulous Christmas, which we wouldn’t have been able to have due to my daughters work commitments, having to work Xmas day! The cottage meant we could spend precious family time together! Thank you, look forward to being there again!

The owner is very friendly and responsive - all the points mentioned in previous reviews have been addressed to give a modern, well equipped cottage with everything you need. The location is great too, with forest walks on the doorstep and the station nearby for days when you don't want to drive.
