Set on the edge of a village ,this cottage is set ideally for exploring the Solway coast , Cockermouth , Keswick and the northern fells and lakes, enjoy the stunning scenery without experiencing the same hustle and bustle of the central Lakes. Finished to a very good standard, the cottages have everything you need for family getaways including a hot tub (for private hire), also with in walking distance there is a heated swimming pool available too hire privately on line . The Solway Coast which is only 4 miles away has a lovely beach with long walks with paths along the coast great for dog walkers then relax and grab an ice cream or head too the local pub for a meal in allonby or visit silloth and Mayport two off the harbour towns on the solway coast with coffee shops, cafés, pubs takeaways and supermarkets or venture into the north lakes keswick only 14 miles away which has lots outdoor stuff to do with two lakes bassethwaite and derwent water in the area great for water activities paddle boarding ,swimming ,canoeing this property is next door too other cottages great for big family/friends get togethers. Great cottage. Peaceful location. Comfy beds. Washing up materials, dishwasher tablets, towels and linen included. Lovely pool- 2 x 1 hour sessions a day included- no need to pre book. Hot tub is optional- bring cash for the deposit . Would recommend.

its a lovely area,and some good walks not far away,1 hour from windemere,dont forget your famous gingerbread its in buttermere on the way back,next to the church and see william Wordsworths family grave in the church yard

A great place to unwind. Lovely position. Carol the owner was very helpful when we coun'dt get any hot water. The pool was a added bonus, especially when the weather was'nt very good. Lovely cottages in a lovely place. Great stay.
