Very charming and well-appointed cottage. Old world charm combined with up-to-date tech including pay-as-you-go EV charging. Hosts (a lovely couple with young children) were very attentive and accommodating. Longtown itself is OK while this cottage is great.

The property had everything we needed for our stay. It has an impressive bathroom with an excellent shower. Large main bedroom with very comfortable bed. It also has 'smart' features such as lights coming on automatically in some areas and wonderful classical music in the bathroom. It was also easy to adjust the lights and the heating. Outside the front door there is a wagon/ coach wheel which stands out at night with its dramatic lighting. I also liked the fact that I never had to remember to take the key with the keypad at the front door allowing keyless entry. The owners were very welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. We had not been to the region before and found it a good base for exploring the surrounding area. Everyone we met on our 4 day stay were friendly.
