Castle Carrock is known for ’Cumbria’s Most Friendly Music Festival’, Music on the Marr which takes place each year at the end of July. It attracts a diverse crop of music, entertainers, artists and poets from around the world and celebrates great music and excellent entertainment for all. Only 4 miles away is Brampton a delightful little town where you will find a variety of shops, cafés and pubs. The attractions are endless in the area, however a must is a visit to Birdoswald Roman Fort on the path of the world famous Hadrian’s Wall, or Talkin Tarn where you can go boating, coarse fishing or walking. The location is ideal and central for all, with visits to the Lake District National Park, the Solway Coast, Scottish Borders and the Eden Valley within a ½ hour drive. What a fabulous cottage and garden. Very clean and literally had everything you needed. Despite the weather not being the best we had a fabulous time. Castle Carock is a very welcoming and friendly village. Lovely dog walks from the cottage. We would definately return

West view is a beautiful cottage in a stunning area. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable family holiday. The local pub is great and the village of Brampton has an amazing food hall for local produce. An excellent base for local attractions. Perfect overall
