Fantastic location and beautiful cottage. Needs a few of the basics sorting out in the kitchen - eg not enough teaspoons. But everything was clean and tidy. Train didn’t bother us at all. Hot tub was wonderful - it’s emptied and refilled for each new visitor so is unlikely to be hot on your first evening.

The cottage itself is beautiful well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday beds are comfy nice big TV and lovely sea view conservatory to relax in. Storm Dave hit and hot tub went off and couldn't get it to heat up so missed out on that as there is no signal to get in touch with the owner. The road leading down to the cottage is a steep rocky road and would be a lot easier in a jeep or 4x4. It's a 10 minute drive into st bees which has a post office and a couple of pubs , then you have egremont which has takeaways and a co op but if you want big shops you need to head into Whitehaven. We wanted to leave the car at the cottage and head out for the day but you can't get a taxi from the cottage as the drivers won't pick up from there so had to car it. There is no signal at the cottage but has WiFi so calls need to be over WhatsApp. Beach is very rocky but great for rock pools small sandy bit to the far left. Overall I thought cottage was lush but road leading down and Infront of cottage needs levelling
