Cosy Cottage is a pretty little 300-year-old terraced property, just off the main street of Allonby, with uninterrupted views across the Solway Firth. This lovely cottage is the perfect getaway for a couple to use as a base to explore this beautiful area, and you can even bring along your fluffy friends too. With a living/dining room, a galley kitchen, a bedroom with an ensuite shower and a seperate toilet; guests are sure to find everything they need comfortably within the property! Right on your doorstep you can enjoy a stroll along Allonby Bay, a vast sand and shingle beach stretching 5 miles. Allonby is a picturesque coastal village which has plenty to offer visitors and is the ideal base from which to explore the beautiful Cumbrian coast, as well as the Lake District. In the evening take a stroll around the village where there is a take-away shop, and pubs serving meals. Don’t forget to try the famous Allonby Whopper ice cream! Just over an hour away, visit the popular town of Windermere. Beach 400 yards, Shop 200 yards, pub 100 yards and restaurant 400 yards.

Quirky was underselling it. Shower in the bedroom, toilet nearly in the kitchen. The front room resembled a fifty somethings grandma's house, but smaller. The smell of damp dog was apparent. But as the name suggests it was cosy. The cottage was cheap enough not to bother to much with any negatives. It was a very peaceful holiday.

If you are thinking of booking cosy cottage budget for eating out kitchen next to useless, other than making toast and tea. Also toilet and kitchen too close. I was a single person and found it claustrophobic downstairs, I had booked Saturday to Saturday but left on Wednesday partly due too weather

This very small cottage had everything you need. Bed very comfortable. Cottage clean and tidy. Kitchen so small but well equipped you don’t need a big kitchen when on holiday .Tv a good size for the room but it flickers a lot because it looses reception . I can’t think of anything I didn’t like about the Cosy Cottage .
