When sleep calls, retire to the double bedroom, whilst the little ones escape to the well-presented twin bedroom as they prepare for a new day. A short car journey away is the town of Cartmel, where the Michelin-starred restaurant of L’Enclume awaits. If you fancy a day out in nature, the hamlet of Newby Bridge serves as a gateway to both the National Trust – Fell Foot and Buck Yeats Lodge Park, both locations offering stunning views of the nearby mountains and lakes.

Just two miles from Cartmel, one of the loveliest places in the Lake District, is the small Lakeland community of Cark in Cartmel. With two excellent traditional old pubs, great walks to the nearby beach overlooking Morecambe Bay, a smattering of small stores, and good access to the Furness line train, Cark offers a lot to its visitors. From here, it takes only a short trip to reach Holker Hall, the magnificent residence of Lord Cavendish, where you may visit the public-accessible mansion, gardens, and deer park in addition to the licenced brasserie The Ilex. Take advantage of the fantastic walking opportunities in the stunning, unspoiled countryside or stop by the nearby Campbell Legend Bluebird Exhibition, Lakeland Motor Museum, and The National Hunt Racecourse. Nearby Cartmel has charming gift shops, inviting traditional taverns serving real ales, charming cobbled alleyways strewn with antique stores, and the highly regarded L'Enclume restaurant, which was given a Michelin Star. Four miles away lies the peaceful seaside community of Grange-over-Sands, which features two golf courses, an oceanfront promenade, Edwardian buildings, a mountain backdrop, and stunning sea vistas. Within a fifteen-minute drive lies Windermere, which offers expansive vistas of England's largest lake. A wonderful holiday spot any time of year.
