This detached, contemporary lodge is located in a quiet corner of the small and exclusive Pastures park, which is made up of 26 acres of managed woodland and pastures, just under a mile from Allithwaite and the priory village of Cartmel. Within a short distance a footpath allows access to several miles of local woodland and countryside walks. The park is set among lovely countryside and is just a 15-minute drive from the southerly tip of Lake Windermere, in the breathtakingly beautiful Lake District National Park. Immaculately presented, with stylish furnishings throughout, the lodge has one bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite shower room. There is also a spacious open plan living area with a cosy woodburning stove and large patio doors opening out onto a decked patio area, where there is plenty of room to enjoy an evening listening to the birds whilst sampling some alfresco dining. There is also a second decked area to the side of the property, offering a separate external space. Every guest should explore the charming village of Cartmel, which is approximately 15 minutes from the lodge on foot, with superb pubs, restaurants and, of course, the beautiful ancient Priory. Cartmel holds regular race meetings where the whole village comes alive, and there are lots of beautiful paths and cycle tracks to explore within Grizedale Forest near Hawkshead, or around the coast towards Humphrey Head, with views over Morecambe Bay. At the end of the day, return to this superb lodge, curl up by the cosy woodburning stove and relax. The perfect spot to escape and recharge your batteries, at any time of the year.

Renowned for being the prettiest village in the Lake District, the small town of Cartmel in South Lakeland is a wonderful, picturesque holiday destination. At the heart of this thriving community is the Priory Church, one of the finest ecclesiastical buildings in the north of England with its gatehouse still in use as the entrance to the settlement itself. Amidst cobbled streets and pretty streamside walks, are a range of quaint gift shops, antique shops, traditional pubs that serve real ale and the nationally renowned Michelin-starred restaurant L'Enclume. A well-loved destination for hill-walkers, the region is full of excellent trails through stunning, unspoilt countryside. In addition, there is the Campbell Legend Bluebird Exhibition, Lakeland Motor Museum and Hunt Racecourse all in the near vicinity. With Windermere and Grange-over-Sands only a few minutes away, there's plenty for everyone to do.
