Open the front door wander in to find accommodation that blends the characterful and the contemporary. Head into the lounge to light the wood burner and watch the Smart TV. Find the light-filled kitchen/diner, with its part-vaulted ceiling at the rear of the house: prepare meals here, wash clothing after muddy walks and dine at the table or breakfast bar. Open the doors to wander out into the garden on fine days. Discover a spacious double bedroom, with en-suite shower room, also at ground-floor level, while the remaining three bedrooms are on the first floor. These include a king-size, a double and a family room, with triple bunks, and a double sofa bed. The family bathroom is also in this floor. Relax on the terrace after fun-filled days out; bubble in the hot tub and dine out in the fresh air on warm evenings. Parking at the property is on the road, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Enjoy having the shops and celebrated restaurants of Cartmel close by. Visit the village’s historic priory and its gatehouse. Plan days out in the Lake District. Visit Newby Bridge, 6 miles away, where you can hop aboard a train on the heritage Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway. Make your way to Lakeside Pier and take the ferry over to the National Trust’s beautiful Victorian garden at Fell Foot or take a trip along the length of Lake Windermere.
