Belah Barn is a charming, remote cottage offering peace, stunning views, and close encounters with wildlife. Guests appreciate the unique experience of staying in a barn conversion with lovely decor and a garden. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness oversights are noted, these do not detract from the overall enjoyment of this rural retreat.
The cottage was described as reasonably clean, but there were instances of crockery and utensils being put away dirty by previous guests. Some areas like bathroom windowsills were noted to need better cleaning.
The location is praised for its beauty, tranquility, and wildlife, with amazing views and a peaceful setting. The remoteness is seen as a positive aspect, although it requires a drive to access shops and restaurants.
The cottage is considered comfortable, accommodating up to five guests with bedrooms strategically placed to maximise views. However, there were comments about the showers lacking power and one being unusable due to a broken slider.
Facilities are generally good, but there are suggestions for improvement such as providing a tin bucket for ash disposal, clearer rubbish/recycling guidance, and additional kitchenware. The lack of a starter pack for the fire and issues with the shower were also mentioned.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the owner, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Lovely warm large cottage, very remote but that’s what we like, 2 miles from the main road, depending where the the sheep are there can be up to 5 farm gates to open up the single track. The cottage was reasonably clean but the previous guests had put crockery and utensils away still dirty, probably didn’t know how to use the dishwasher and more so didn’t use rinse aide and salt, we had to fill both these items up and spent the 1st evening putting everything through the dishwasher.Unable to use the log burner which had not been cleaned out as there’s no way of getting the ash downstairs, a tin bucket would be handy and some where to dispose of the ash downstairs, there was no initial starter pack for the fire ether. No guidance as to how to dispose of the rubbish/recycling.No information regarding anything in the cottage or visitors book to leave comments.None of the above spoilt our stay 1 to 8th November

A wonderful barn-conversion and we had all we wanted on this, our 2nd visit there.Just superb. The only hesitation this time is that things are starting to feel a bit less-loved. Net curtains need to be washed and bathroom windowsills need to be cleaned properly. But how can we complain when everything - just everything - else was superb.Thank you to the owner.
