Guests say

Staffield Cottage is a charming, rustic retreat set in peaceful countryside near Penrith, ideal for those seeking relaxation and beautiful views. Guests consistently praise the tranquil location, comfortable atmosphere, and the added luxury of a hot tub. The cottage is dog-friendly and well-equipped, with thoughtful touches noted by some visitors. While most reviews are positive, a few mention issues with cleanliness and minor maintenance, but these were generally resolved quickly. The property’s character and setting make it a popular choice for families, couples, and dog owners looking for a quiet getaway.

Most guests found the cottage clean and comfortable, but a small number reported issues such as damp smells, mould, and dirty kitchenware. These concerns were not universal and were outweighed by positive comments, though they do indicate occasional lapses.

The location is frequently described as peaceful, beautiful, and ideal for countryside escapes, with stunning views and easy access to local walks and pubs. The only minor drawback is the remoteness, requiring a car for amenities.

Guests regularly mention the cottage’s cosy, homely feel, comfortable beds, and relaxing atmosphere. A few noted issues with mattresses and light in bedrooms, but overall comfort is highly rated.

Facilities such as the hot tub, log burner, and well-equipped kitchen are highly appreciated. Occasional maintenance issues (e.g., shower, heater) were quickly addressed by helpful owners, ensuring a positive experience for most guests.

Several guests appreciated thoughtful touches like bread and milk on arrival and dog-friendly provisions. Please note, such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.
