Ulverston is also well-known as a festival town, hosting a variety of events from walking and flag-waving celebrations to art and music festivals all summer long, as well as the world-famous Dickensian Christmas celebration in late November. In addition to being the place where Stan Laurel was born, it also holds the record for the largest foam pie fight in the world. Enjoy stunning views of Morecambe Bay and the southern Lake District on one of the many scenic walks that wind through the area.
