Step into your new oasis after a successful day of adventure. Kick up your feet in the sitting room and toast your well-trekked toes by the electric fire. Whip up a scrumptious supper in the well-equipped, spacious kitchen/diner, inspired by the cooking shows on the Smart TV. Dig in at a rustic, bench-style dining table for 12, then drink in the last few rays of sun with your pups on the enclosed patio. When the evening chill starts to nip, hop in the hot tub for a warm, bubbling massage. Rinse off in a bathroom, second-floor shower room, or two en-suite shower rooms, then settle into the sofa with a film on the Smart TV, before falling into a king-size, double, or twin bed waiting to catch you – each with a Smart TV waiting to lull you to sleep. Visit the Laurel & Hardy Museum, then top off the day with a bite to eat at one of the many eateries in Ulverston. Ulverston is a traditional market town built around a cobbled main street. It boasts a fine selection of independent shops, café’s, and pubs with open fires and real ales. There is an extensive selection of eating places to suit everyone, from fine dining to traditional pub food. Ulverston is also well known as a festival town, with events ranging from flags and walking to art and music festivals throughout the summer months and with the renowned Dickensian Christmas festival in late November. It is the birthplace of Stan Laurel and world record holder of the biggest foam pie fight in the world giving a glimpse into the fun community spirited little town. There are excellent walks around the town and beautiful countryside, with views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. Home to the deepest, widest and shortest canal, which makes for a lovely afternoon walk with a pub at the end and views over the bay. All of the attractions of the National Park are also easily reached. The Furness Coast boasts sandy beaches and good birdwatching. Nearby family attractions include the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Lakes Windermere and Coniston and popular Birkrigg Common, with its incredible panoramic views across Morecambe Bay.
