In a historic setting dating back to 1874, this stunning, dog-friendly house is surrounded by countryside and close to the Lake District National Park, offering a unique base for families and couples to holiday and celebrate special occasions. You'll find designated parking spaces on arrival, before stepping through the private entrance at the rear of Stone Cross Mansion, arriving to a fabulous welcome pack. There is space in the hallway to leave boots and coats, before making yourself at home in the bright and airy kitchen/diner with high ceilings, south-facing windows, and high-quality amenities. Any cook will delight in the sleek, contemporary kitchen with built-in appliances and plenty of preparation space. When it's time to relax, load up the dishwasher and climb the stairs to the mezzanine sitting room set under a dramatic skylight; host movie nights with your loved ones on the Smart TV or unwind with a good book! Alternatively, there's space outside for you and your dog to rest in the afternoon sun after busy days exploring the Lake District, whether that's al fresco dining or savouring a glass of wine fresh from the wine cooler. Ulverston is a festival town, with flags, walking, art, and music festivals in the summer and the Dickensian Christmas festival in late November. The town and surrounding area offer stunning views of the southern Lake District and Morecambe Bay. Deepest, widest, and shortest canal makes for a great afternoon walk with a pub and bay views. All National Park attractions are accessible. Furness Coast has sandy beaches and birding. Visit the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, the Lakes Windermere and Coniston, and the famed Birkrigg Common, with its spectacular views across Morecambe Bay.
