This welcoming retreat provides off-road parking and invites two furry friends to join the adventure. Inside, the farmhouse-style kitchen features slate flooring and a large cooker, perfect for hearty breakfasts. A separate utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer is ideal for longer stays. Share meals or plan your day around the large dining table in the elegant dining room, which also houses a generous bookshelf for relaxed reading. After a day of exploring, unwind in the spacious sitting room with an open fire and TV, or find a quiet moment in the snug/boot room, where you can let your adventure boots dry in front of the woodburning stove. With five thoughtfully decorated double bedrooms, everyone has a space to rest those sleepy heads on the top of the range Sealy and Hypnos mattresses. Three well-appointed bathrooms ensure convenience for all, one features a super-sized bath and shower, perfect for relaxing a tired body, while the other two have walk-in showers. Step outside into the wraparound garden with an extensive 5 acres of enclosed grounds, where you’ll find large lawn and gravelled areas, outdoor furniture, and a barbecue - perfect for alfresco dining or simply soaking up the sun. Find the table at the back of the property and enjoy a coffee taking in the views of the open countryside and fells. Explore the delightful village of Silverdale, situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, offering a plethora of attractions for all ages and interests. Meander charming streets, with a choice of quaint local shops, or sample the local cuisine at a pub, café, or restaurant. From the house, you'll find endless enchanting woodland and hill walks, or enjoy serene strolls down to the beautiful sweeping coastline with its stunning views and rich variety of birdlife. For more adventurous spirits, the nearby Silverdale cycle path offers an exhilarating journey through picturesque countryside. Guided mountain days can be provided subject to booking availability. Catch the train from the nearby village that follows the coast and have a lovely day exploring the Victorian seaside resorts at Arnside and Grange over Sands. Whether you’re here for long beach walks, Lakeland adventures, or evenings by the fire with loved ones, 1 The Green offers the perfect setting for a memorable escape.
The pretty and quiet coastal village of Silverdale is situated on the shores of Morecambe Bay. Both Silverdale and nearby Arnside have a good selection of shops, cafes and pubs. The local surrounding area is a “nature lover’s paradise” with stunning limestone pavements and wonderful woodland walks through countryside alive with rare plants, trees and wildlife - the internationally renowned Leighton Moss rspb Reserve is just 1 mile away from the village. Further afield, but within easy touring distance, are the Lake District and Lune Valley, The Yorkshire Dales and The Forest of Bowland.
