Guests say

Storrs Croft is a spacious and comfortable cottage in a peaceful rural setting, ideal for exploring Morecambe Bay, the Lake District, and surrounding areas. Guests appreciate the well-kept garden, ample parking, and homely atmosphere. The property is praised for its relaxing environment and suitability for families and pets. Some guests noted minor maintenance issues and suggested improvements to kitchen equipment and cleanliness, but overall, the cottage offers a pleasant and enjoyable stay with beautiful countryside views.

Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, with some describing it as spotlessly clean and well maintained. However, a few reviews mentioned missed cleaning details, such as leftover items from previous guests and areas needing more attention. Overall, cleanliness is generally good but could be improved.

The location is highly praised for its rural charm and proximity to popular destinations like the Lake District and Morecambe Bay. While the cottage is not within walking distance of amenities and is situated on a busy road, guests found it convenient for touring the region and appreciated the peaceful countryside setting.

Guests consistently mention comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and a relaxing atmosphere. The cottage is warm and homely, though a few noted that the living room could benefit from a refresh and that additional throws or curtains would enhance cosiness, especially during colder nights.

The cottage is well-equipped with most essentials, including a well-set-up kitchen and good parking. Some guests reported issues such as a broken fire, non-working TVs, missing freezer, and insufficient kitchenware. While most facilities are adequate, some areas require updating and maintenance.

Guests appreciated touches like Christmas decorations and basic welcome packs, though these are not guaranteed for every stay. Some felt the welcome pack could be more generous, and a few noted prompt responses from caretakers when issues arose. Overall, there is a sense of care, but consistency could be improved.

Lovely quiet relaxing accommodation, with fantastic views, good parking & excellent access, spacious rooms, quite comfortable overall, could benefit from curtains in all rooms to be able to fully draw, especially on lighter mornings.

The cottage was a real mix. Pros: beautiful towels and bed sheets, comfy beds, spacious and good location. Lovely garden area too and space to park easily. Cons: Blind broken in lounge. shower upstairs faulty so unable to use, property felt damp, couldn’t open windows. Upstairs toilet very awkwardly located in a tight corner - wouldn’t suit large or disabled people. Almost have to sit on it sideways! Not enough glasses for 6 people. No freezer. No iron or ironing board. Welcome book needs updating. No direct contact details for owner although caretaker and housekeeping tel no’s given. Welcome pack was just a large bag of crisps, tea and coffee.

Easy to find the property. Good parking, clean throughout and comfortable living areas. Nice rural views and well tended garden. As we only used the ground floor facilities, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed. On arrival we found there was no hairdryer available, this was rectified in little over an hour after contacting caretaker. Kitchen facilities good but some items in need of replacement ie place mats, oven trays, oven very slow to cook food. Complimentary tea coffee etc well stocked with good quality items.Information in property folder in need of updating, tourist information in abundance but all out of date, fortunately we could rely on the free wifi to get up to date information. Dressed Toy rabbits on beds were a bit scary, we hid them in wardrobes! The inclusion of a fleece or thow (or Two) for living room and bedroom would have made it more cosy as the temperature drops.
