In a picturesque setting, on the owner’s working beef and sheep farm, these holiday properties are situated on the edge of the beautiful Trough of Bowland, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and in great walking territory. Each property has a patio area with picnic benches, where guests can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. In the parish of Quernmore, the properties are just a short drive from the historic town of Lancaster where there are numerous pubs and restaurants. Leisure facilities nearby include golf courses and the historic Williamson’s Park, which has the beautiful Ashton Memorial and the Butterfly House. Lancaster also has a castle, where the Pendle witches were brought for trial. Other places to visit include the seaside resort of Morecambe, 8 miles, Ingleton and the Yorkshire Dales, 18 miles, Kendal, known as the Gateway to the Lakes is 27 miles, Blackpool, 35 miles, and the cities of Manchester and Liverpool are just over an hour’s drive. It was an amazing place. the views were spectacular day and night with the gorgeous sunsets and clear skies. The cottage itself was very clean and had everything needed make you stay.The only downfall which I don't really like mentioning was the constant football being kicked in the nearby yard. I understand children have to play but there is all that land instead to be kicking against a wall is so annoying. Sorry. We came away to escape things like that, not expecting it in the country.
