A lovely cottage with everything you need in a beautiful location. Local village of Barley offered two pubs very dog friendly with good menus.

A lovely cottage with beautiful surroundings and an ideal place to relax. Cottages, themselves, were sometimes slow to respond to queries and when we requested for additional kitchen towel and hand soap (they had only provided a few sheets and there was only one hand soap), they said that they were only provided as a starter and that we would need to buy extra. They were similarly dismisive of our request for additional washing up liquid where they had only provided a drop. We also noticed some rubbish had been left behind in one of the bathrooms and overall, the property could have been cleaner. However, the actual owners of the property live next door and they are incredibly hospitable and friendly. They were very surprised to hear that Cottages had denied our request for additional amenities and immediately provided us with what we needed, as well as allowing us to say hello to their dog. Overall, a nice stay but improved communication by Cottages would increase the rating.
