This is a really well proportioned and pretty cottage which perfectly suited our family (2 adults, 2 early teens, 1 small dog) perfectly and allowed us to explore nearby Manchester from a semi-rural retreat. We thought the cottage provided exceptional value for money given the quality, cleanlines and space available. Parking is plentiful and there are some beautiful walks and high quality pubs and restaurants within a very short walk of Oldham and Manchester accesible by car and public transport. The living room served as a cozy hub for us to watch tv, play games and generally chill during inclement weather. Depending on your point of view, the lack of a smart tv in the main living room (no acces to Netflix, YouTube et al) is either a a brilliant way to encourage greater connection and linear TV viewing or a bit of a mised opportunity in 2025. The upstairs master bedroom does have a smart tv but it would have been preferable to have it downstairs. The internet was ok too.
