The location is frequently praised for its convenience, lovely village setting, and proximity to local shops, pubs, and stunning nearby scenery, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and enjoyment of the outdoors.

Comfort is consistently mentioned positively, with guests enjoying the comfy sofas, beds, and overall atmosphere. However, some guests noted the steep stairs and low ceilings in certain areas, which could be a consideration for those with mobility issues.

James was exceptional with his communication. Cottages.com, through VRBO app., was not. They seem to have an automated response and we had several problems with it. It caused a lot of problems with logistics and communication.Nellie Nook was wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay.

We booked the property for a visit to the Coop Live for a concert. The location made getting into Ashton under Lyne for the tram stop a piece of cake. We parked at the Village Hotel (via Just Park). The Nellie Nook is a comfortable place to rest your head. The neighbours are easy to get on with, one of whom kindly but the correct bin out for us on the refuse collection day.The details mention a BBQ but a search on the last evening failed to find the fiery beast. In the lean-to area at the rear there was charcoal and lighting fluid. The bedroom on the second floor features a low ceiling with height restricted access to the toilet/basin/shower and one side of the bed. The couple who stayed on the second floor suggested a degree of caution was advisable when entering the room. The equipment level was very good, but we had to google how to operate some of the goodies as owners manuals could not be found (eg: the coffee machine and hob). The older members of the group found the sofa a tad uncomfortable owing to the seat height and depth but this didn't matter as we sat outside most evenings enjoying the weather.Communications with James the owner were easy and he did everything within his powers to make our stay enjoyable. The village of Greenfield is lovely, offering a good range of local shops and pubs. The nearby scenery is stunning.Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Nellie Nook.
