The bustling market town of Glossop is also just 3 miles with ample amenities, and being on the edge of the Peak District National Park means an abundance of popular towns and villages such as Edale, Castleton, and the famous spa town of Buxton are all within a 40-minute drive. The wonderful village of Hayfield neighbours Glossop and is popular with walkers due its proximity to Kinder Scout catering well for tourists with its own collection of pubs, cafés, and restaurants.
If you’re looking for city life, the bright lights of Manchester are just a half hour’s drive away, or 30 minutes on a direct train from Broadbottom which is just 1.7 miles from the property.

We had a fantastic stay. The beds were really comfy and it was so lovely to have access to the hot tub. Towels etc were provided and we were also so grateful for the goodies we were given. It was in a great location for what we wanted with only short drives to the peak district etc. When we first arrived it was a bit cold but we put the heating on and by the time we arrived back the following day it was warmer but luckily the beds were warm so we were fine overnight. Thank you for having us!!

After a complete disaster with one booking I managed to find Ye Olde Chip Shop! It was quite late in the evening and we were lucky. The hosts went out of their way to get the place ready for us and threw in some nicies also. For that I am so grateful. The cottage itself was spotless and was perfect for what we wanted. Loved it!
