This charming lodge house is situated at the entrance to the Broadmeadows Estate. The cottage is all ground floor and has a shower room, making it ideal for the less mobile. The interior has been traditionally furnished with a fully fitted kitchen and a cosy living/dining area with comfortable seating and an open fire. The lovely bedroom has a touch of elegance with the sumptuous four poster bed, just the ticket for that long awaited romantic break in the countryside. Berwick is Englands most northerly town and changed hands 13 times whilst the English and the Scots fought for around 400 years for control of the Borders! The history is delightfully shown in the towns museum. Nowadays this small coastal town retains much of its charm, with quaint narrow streets enclosed within great Elizabethan walls, fortified with bastions, built against attacks in the 1500s and walks along these offer spectacular views over the coast and river estuary to Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island.
