Guests say

Bailey's Barn in Matlock is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its cleanliness, high-spec barn conversion, and dog-friendly environment. Guests appreciate the thoughtful design, cosy atmosphere, and the peaceful countryside location. While some guests mention challenges with accessibility due to steep roads, the property is highly recommended for its tranquillity and proximity to local walks and attractions.

The property is consistently described as very clean and well-maintained, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that guests are very satisfied with.

The location is generally appreciated for its beauty and peacefulness, with plenty of walks and attractions nearby. However, some guests note the steep, potholed roads and limited walking distance to amenities, which affects the score slightly.

Guests find the cottage comfortable and cosy, with a well-thought-out design that maximises space. The presence of a log burner adds to the comfort, although one review mentioned it could feel a little cold at times.

The barn is praised for being well-appointed and equipped, with a high-spec finish. However, one guest suggested a preference for a permanent table over the fold-out one, indicating room for minor improvements.

Guests mention welcome gifts such as treats for dogs and a bottle of Prosecco, reflecting the owners' thoughtfulness. It should be noted that while these gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.
