A picturesque stone-built cottage adjoining the main house, situated in the small and peaceful Peak village of Elton, 1 mile from Winster. Elton sits in a superb elevated position, more than 900ft above sea level, with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside - a paradise for walkers. The property has been furnished and decorated to a good standard and offers very comfortable, well equipped holiday accommodation, all on the ground floor. The owners live in the adjoining property and personally welcome visitors. An ideal retreat for enjoying the Peak District at any time of the year.
Situated in an elevated position on the White Peak Plateau, the peaceful village of Elton is set in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Positioned over 900ft above sea level and with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, the village is a popular destination for walkers and cyclists due to its proximity to the Tissington and High Peak trails and The Limestone Way. Just one mile away is the pretty village of Winster, which is renowned as a centre for Morris dancing, its Wakes festivities - every June - and the town's annual Shrove Tuesday pancake race. The popular destinations of Bakewell, Chatsworth and Matlock are all close by.

Perfect for two. Friendly little village. Enjoyed the Community breakfast in the Village Hall on the Sunday. Friendly locals! Warm welcome from Carolyn and a very generous welcome pack on arrival including wine, a cake, milk, butter, bread and eggs. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with a lovely shower with plenty of hot water. Very comfortable bed and lovely views over to a field with cows. Will certainly return if going away as a couple again.

Just as comfortable as the first visit. Hosts are lovely and very accommodating. Cottage is as described and facilities are just right for two plus a dog. Arrived to find a yummy welcome pack which included a delicious cake. We will definitely visit again.

Beautiful palenta cake and basket of fresh eggs on arrival. Hosts were very welcoming and caring. Very peaceful and quiet cottage. We were very fortunate with lovely weather late September
