We fell in love with the cottage as soon as we opened the door. It felt immediately like a home from home. We were a little worried how our pup would fare in a strange environment but she immediately also felt at home. Everything we could need we brought with us, but it all stayed in the car apart from toiletries. Everything else was there.. The open plan downstairs was perfect light and spacey. The lounge and furniture were super comfy and the TV the best choice I’ve ever had in a cottage. Wifi also superb. The kitchen had surfaces a plenty with all mod cons (no airfryer although we never used ours either (stayed in the car). Fabulous Smeg oven and hob (want one now ) The fridge freezer could be larger as we struggled to fit a weeks M&S so I’d advise a 2 day shop and a visit to Arkwrights stores in Cromford.. The bedroom and bathroom were lovely and very large although it took me a while to master the staircase, . It just added to the fun of coming down backwards laughing. The puppy less so lol.. we got parked on the street across from the Chapel and met lots of locals with dogs who were wonderfully friendly, so much so that Mabel looked to go home with them at times and a chase ensued up and down the street lol. We only visited the pub up the road but they were very friendly and welcoming. The Boat Inn set up a side street in Cromford is also a delight food and beerwise plus a large garden area. Very friendly staff. Best pint of Bass I’ve tasted for years. We would certainly use the cottage again, now we know the area better. Thanks to Our hosts

Lovely comfortable cottage well equipped. Welcome pack was excellent. Good location for visiting various places. On the downside there was no off road parking which was ok but a bit tight for buses and bigger vehicles passing. The road was busy however the cottge was quietCould do with a larger fridge Stairs were steep and would be difficult for people with mobility issues
